The tomb of General Sam Houston, Oakwood Cemetery, Huntsville, Texas. Designed and executed by Pompeo Coppini. Back in the day—I don’t know if this is still done—frat boys from Sam Houston State University would sneak into the cemetery at night and paint Houston’s horse’s genitals bright red.
